Responsible and Sustainable Tourism

What does it mean to you? This is what it means to us at Nkambeni Safari Camp:

“Sustainable and Responsible Tourism, is the state of harmony between our people, the Nkambeni community and our social, cultural and natural environment”

We are pleased to be longlisted for the 2018 Responsible Tourism Awards. We are really hard at work, hand in hand, with the Nkambeni community and various partners, such as MTPA, South African Tourism, Department Environmental Affairs, SanParks, Department Tourism, Local churches and schools, Tour operators and the media and public in order to ensure community upliftment. We aim to make this project, the most successful cultural community tourism project in the country.

We strive to make a continuous difference in our community, through tourism. Through the creation of employment opportunities, we would like to create a sustainable relationship between rural community development and the natural, cultural environment.

We wil continue aiming to harmonize tourism, community development, sharing of cultural, environmental and natural experiences.

Take hands with us, as we continue this journey of using tourism for better communities, stronger relationships with international guests and an ultimate better South Africa!!
